A bubble gun hardly wears out. What runs out are its refills: bubble liquid, aromas and, depending on the model, the tank or the coils. Here’s how never to run dry in the middle of service.
“The question I’m asked most after someone buys a gun? ‘What do I need to buy again, and when?’ This guide answers it once and for all, model by model.”

PRACTICAL GUIDE
Never run out of bubbles
The right refills for each gun, and when to replace them
What gets used up
Bubble liquid and aromas: to buy again according to your service pace.
What wears out
The disposable tank or the coils: change them when the aroma weakens or smells burnt.

Which gun do you have?
- The Délice Bar Flavoured Bubble Gun: it’s a Molec-Chef gun, with a screw-on tank and coils.
- The Flavour Blaster Pro 2.5: magnetic disposable tank, no coil to change.
- The Flavour Blaster Mini 2: compatible with disposable tanks only.
- The Flavour Blaster Pro 2.4: reusable tank and replacement coils (it also accepts the disposable tank).

How long do refills last?
| Refill | Stated yield |
|---|---|
| Bubble X liquid 180 ml | Up to 1,000 bubbles, lasting up to 3 minutes |
| Molec-Chef bubble liquid 300 ml | Up to about 3,000 bubbles |
| 10 ml aroma | About 250 clouds or bubbles |
| Disposable tank | About 1,000 uses, i.e. 4 to 6 weeks of intensive use |
Do the maths: for an evening of 100 bubble cocktails, one bottle of Bubble X is more than enough, and one aroma bottle covers the service with room to spare. Plan one aroma bottle per flavour on your menu.
When should you change the coil or the tank?
- The aroma becomes weak, or tastes burnt.
- A burning smell appears during use.
- The cotton in the reusable tank changes colour.
- The tank leaks.
On disposable-tank models, you replace the whole tank: there’s no coil to handle.
5 rules to make your gun last
- One tank (or one coil) per aroma: no more mint taste in your strawberry cocktail, and aroma changes in seconds.
- Fill the tank at least halfway, then wait a few minutes before first use: the cotton must be well soaked.
- Never run the gun empty: that’s what burns out the coils.
- On the Molec-Chef gun, pour the aroma into the side hole, never into the centre hole.
- Recharge the battery after each service and store everything dry, with bubble liquid out of children’s reach.
Spray the rim of the glass with the atomiser or place the bubble on a support spoon. Our article on bubble liquid details all the tricks.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use Molec-Chef liquid in a Flavour Blaster?
Yes, it works, but bubbles stick to the glass better with Flavour Blaster’s Bubble X.
Does the disposable tank fit the Molec-Chef gun?
No: it is reserved for Flavour Blasters (Pro 2.4, Pro 2.5 and Mini 2). The Molec-Chef gun uses its own screw-on tank.
How many aromas are there?
More than 30 flavours: vanilla, bergamot, mint, rose, chocolate, passion fruit, smoke… enough to create an entire menu.
Can you drink bubble liquid?
No, not as is: it is only used to form the bubble above the glass.
