Cartoon heroes, club logos and artists’ designs are protected by copyright and trademark law. Only print images you have the right to use: your photos, your drawings, your creations. Good news: a homemade drawing often has far more charm than a ready-made image.
Our tips for a sharp result
- A high-resolution photo, as large as possible, taken in natural light.
- Centred faces: the topper is round, so the edges will be slightly cropped.
- A background that isn’t too dark, so the subject stands out on the cake.
- Little text, in large letters: a name and an age are often enough.
- A smooth surface under the topper: fondant, ganache or icing.
- Apply just before serving if the cake has whipped cream.
